Canadian Celtic Step Dancing traces its roots to Western Europe, specifically
Scotland, France, northern Spain, the British Isles, and Ireland.  Celtic Step Dancing is typically danced within a small area with little travel, reflecting our country’s past when step dancing was performed on tabletops or the confined spaces of pioneer kitchens.  Staying true to its fun and spontaneous social beginnings, this form of dance is less scripted and allows more freedom of movement than some other dance disciplines.  Come “step” into our kitchen party!
